About the moss and lichens
The mosses, lichens, and plants used in our products are cultivated on certified farms with deep respect for the environment. The organic materials are carefully hand-collected and sorted. They are then ecologically stabilized using a natural solution enriched with salt minerals, which halts growth and prevents color fading or decay—also known as a gentle mummification process. We use a variety of natural species in our decorations, including ferns, ball moss (scoop moss), forest moss, and Nordic lichen.
Installation and important information
Each framed moss map or decoration is ready to hang using standard picture frame mounting hardware (pre-installed on the back of the frame).
- For indoor use only;
- Do not expose the map to direct sunlight, as pigments may fade;
- Do not water the moss or plants – excess moisture (above 80% humidity) will damage them;
- Keep away from heat sources, such as radiators or fireplaces (humidity below 40% may cause drying);
- Avoid mechanical pressure or damage (e.g., pressing or scratching the moss);
- Expected lifespan: 5–8 years with proper care according to the manufacturer’s recommendations;
- Covered by a 2-year warranty.
